Alyssa has earned a Master of Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee State University, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, and a PhD in Exceptional Learning with a focus in STEM Education from Tennessee Technological University. She is certified to teach Biology and Chemistry, has an administrator license, and is a certified TEAM evaluator.

Alyssa excels in student and adult differentiation and knowledge transfer. She has demonstrable skills not only in knowledge acquisition and effective communication, but also in working with individual learning styles to most effectively impart knowledge and skills in a multi-modal, domain-transferrable manner. She has experience and research interests in program planning, evaluation, and professional development and training.
