SUMMARY
I am an IT professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. My primary duties have been split between consulting in Process and Data Middleware Integration Architecture and Process and Data Middleware Integration project management and delivery. I enjoy the enviable position of partnering with companies early in their software development life cycle and lending my experience not only with implementing third-party product stacks but also with the leadership and methodology of planning and executing successful project deliveries by leading both on-shore and off-shore resources. I also play the role of Process and Data technology evangelist providing specifically tailored training and education in the Process and Data space as well as coding the occasional POC for the pre-sales phase of a sales cycle.
A typical IT Architectural engagement:
--I will partner with the company's architectural group to understand their existing architectural framework and suggest how to include or create architectural best practices and documentation standards to accommodate a Process and Data effort.
--I will partner with the company's infra-structure team to discuss and architect optimum hardware configurations to meet the expected Quality of Service requirements for projected application mission criticality and how the Process and Data effort fits within their specific Fail-Over, Fault-Tolerant, and Disaster Recovery topology.
--I will partner with the company's application development team to: classify their Process and Data effort, categorize the tiers and components of their effort, then architect a solution according to the best practices and documentation standards that best fit within the company's needs. If necessary, I will also mentor the development resources in the most efficient ways to implement the APIs involved and the best coding practices for effective execution, maintenance, and extensibility of their solution.
A typical Project Management delivery engagement:
--I will partner with the company's business stake-holders (C-level to Business) to help define scope, explain their return on investment for the effort within that scope, and broker the communication of the milestone accomplishments for the effort.
--I will partner with the company's Program and/or Project Managers to communicate the components of the Process and Data effort, how to size each component for the scope defined, and where and how they fit into the project life-cycle.
--I will mentor and lead the business analysts through the requirements gathering phase to institute best practices that efficiently categorize and format functional requirements into a Process and Data specific system requirements document to streamline time-to-implement.
--I will mentor and lead the architectural and development leads through quickly translating the specific system requirements into reusable architectural topologies and executable documentation units according to best practices.
--I will mentor and manage the development lead resources from design to string test to production fix. Many of my engagements require me to coordinate and manage off-shore as well as on-shore resource teams.
--I will mentor and lead the test teams through quickly translating the specific functional and system requirements into executable test scripts and test scenarios.
--I will partner with the operational readiness teams to produce effective crisis response plans for both system and application failure.

ENGAGEMENT SUMMARY
Merrill Lynch/Bank of America
--Technical partner to: development, testing, and build and packaging teams to create and enforce best practices for delivery and management of all Process and Data related development. I also partnered with user management, database, and distributed enterprise services teams to create and enforce best practices for Process and Data Integration, versioning, and compatibility management.
--Technical liaison to Customer On-Boarding priority project. I created a requirements methodology and language used to document complex existing and proposed systems and rule sets. I led a small yet gifted team of architects to produce extremely complex system designs and pseudo-code.
--Subject Matter Expert to de-mystify “workflow” state engines. I documented and coded a proof-of-concept workflow application and test harness that effectively demonstrated the inner workings of a run-time defined state-engine.
TIBCO Software Inc.
--Allstate in Chicago, IL: I was Chief Process and Data Architect and Delivery Manager for a $100+ Million Customer Focused Re-invention project. I approached Architecture from the following contexts: System Architecture dealing with HA, FT, and DR; Application Architecture encompassing component installation to API coding best practices; and Security Architecture dealing with user authentication, authorization, appropriation, and administration. After having established architectural principles and best practices, I acted as Process and Data delivery manager spanning resource planning, project plan creation and base-lining, as well as being responsible for the entire SDLC of all Process and Data integration effort.
--Merck in Whitehouse Station, NJ: I've had multiple architectural engagements at Merck ranging from: simple product installation and stabilization, Rules Engine installation and utilization Best Practices, Process and Data requirements gathering workshops, Process and Data Integration Build and Test Best Practices, to establishing a Process and Data Center of Excellence, I also created the framework business process procedures and UIs for their Center of Excellence prototype
--Winn Dixie in Jacksonville, Fl: I was Chief Architect for a Process and Data solution exposed outside of the corporate DMZ for Vendor On-Boarding. This solution included a complex Security strategy to ensure viability of information within an AJAX UI solution exposed to outside users.
--General Electric Capital in Stamford CT: I was Chief Architect and Project Lead for a joint off-shore partnership to implement a Process and Data solution with complex AJAX forms for Financial Account Management.
--ADP / Broadridge in Deerpark, NY: I was Chief Architect for a Process and Data workflow product specific API C# implementation for an enterprise Process and Data web service offering.
--Pepsico in Chicago, IL: I was Process and Data Architect to develop a business process workflow and UI implementation for a consolidated Process and Data / SAP exception monitoring, tracking, and resolution effort.
--Merrill Lynch in Jersey City, NJ: I designed and created a Process and Data component Load and Stress Testing Harness, Test Plan, and Crisis Response SOPs.
--Halifax Bank of Scotland: I was on a consultation team to create a complex change management / risk assessment matrix for each Process and Data stack component to represent User vs IT change and risk.
AGEdwards and Sons
--I "productized" the Process and Data technology stack for AGEdwards and Sons. From an IT perspective, this included: server build-out procedures including HA, FT, and DR; establishing integration best-practices; API coding best-practices and code sample archetypes; and a "Getting Started" Programming Guide. From a business perspective, this included establishing a Process and Data Center of Excellence to address: requirements gathering methodology, format, and expected artifacts; guidelines for sizing and scoping Process and Data projects; guidelines for resource planning; and expected artifacts for each phase of the SDLC.
Unum Insurance
--I started Unum as administrative support for an AIX based in-house Imaging System that managed all corporate imaged documents as G4 compressed TIFFs. I moved up to an Analyst position for on-boarding new imaging projects. I was then given responsibility for an AIX based BPM workflow solution. I became responsible for requirements gathering, build (coding around the APIs and creating the executable business processes), and test for new BPM projects. Using my experience in these two areas, I helped establish the best practices for Analysis, Build, and Test phases of BPM and Imaging projects. The workflow product was fairly sophomoric when acquired, so I wrote a series of AIX scripts that monitored functionality and performance and sent notifications to support if the system became out of tolerance.
Grace Academy
--I built, networked, and administrated all the hardware for the school, administrative offices, and computer lab. I created the curriculum for and taught Basic Computing that included Office Productivity e.g. Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, and Database. I created the curriculum for and taught Advanced Computing that included hardware, networking, and programming in Pascal using the Delphi IDE.
--I also taught Public Speaking focusing on large group communication including: personal appearance and presentation; material organization; and voice tempo, volume, and pitch mastery.
Self Employed
--I acquired, learned, and managed three area locations including hiring, performance review, payroll, accounting, and all other operational duties. I also wrote the computer application that managed the financial transactions of all locations.
Chattanooga Association of Realtors
--I was system administrator of the VAX based property search system, wrote curriculum for and taught technology classes, and functioned as technical support for Chattanooga area Realtors.
